halloween

So, Halloween has never been my favorite.  But during the last few years it has really grown on me!  We're starting to establish some really fun family traditions.  We do the usual pumpkin carving and this year we added some simple art projects while listening to some silly Halloween music.  I even taught the boys a part of the Michael Jackson Thriller dance!  It was so fun.  I grew up loving to dance, so that was kind of fun for me.

This year our house is a bit of a construction zone.  We still have boxes around as we have been clearing out a room at a time to do remodeling.  Jeremiah and I were worried that it wouldn't be a special day for the boys, but it couldn't have been a more fun day in my opinion!  One of the many things I love about children is that they don't see things the way we adults see them.  Sometimes as adults I tend to see some of the negative, but children are so good and so pure, they don't see that.  They see wonder and excitement.  Oh, how I love them and how I love what they teach me.

Matthew was a Special Force.  I cannot get enough of that adorable toothless grin.  Before I know it, he will have huge teeth and won't look quite so young.
